Individual Member Fees and Costs--Now 4 Plans to Choose From!
Standard Rate Plan
- Initiation Fee--$35, refundable only if turned down by insurance
- Security deposit--$250 refundable, but will be used when failure to pay account balance
- Quarterly Membership Dues--$30. Pro-rated per month for those that join mid-quarter. 10% discount if you pay for a whole year in advance. 15% senior discount available (dues only).
- Hourly Vehicle Use Fee—$4/hour reservation time, not actual time.
- Mileage Fee--$0.35/mile covers gasoline and wear and tear of the vehicle.
- Phone Reservation Administration Fee--$1 for phone reservations per call, unlimited number of reservations.
- All Day Rate (now available 7 days a week!)--$50 plus mileage, first 100 miles PER RESERVATION free. Any 24 hour period.
Occasional Use Rate Plan

Corporate Accounts

- All Day Rate (Monday through Friday 7 AM - 6 PM)--$60, plus up to 50 miles free per reservation
- Add an Employee--$40 per employee.
Destination Plan For Businesses

Discounts
- Individual Member who is also a Business Member--The Individual Member receives a 20% discount on Membership Dues.
- Joint Member Discounts—Joint Members will pay the same fees as an Active Member with these exceptions: a second Initiation Fee for Joint Members is waived if the Joint Member joins at the same time on the same Membership Application/Agreement as the Active Member. In addition, Quarterly Membership dues for the Joint Member are one half of the Active Member’s fee, or $15 per quarter.
- Overnight Discount—9 PM – 7 AM, pay for only 2 hours plus mileage for reservations during this time frame.
Credits
- Referral Credit: Members who refer new members receive a $20 credit per new member. So, tell your friends about CCS and have them note your name and/or member number when they apply. The credit is issued automatically and you should see it on your statement.
- Fuel Credit: Members receive a $2 credit for refueling (required if tank is at 1/4 or less upon return of the vehicle). Please do not "top-off" the tank if there is more than a 1/4 tank remaining at the end of your trip. You should note the fueling when you log your trip on-line after the trip is complete. The credit will be issued automatically and you should see it on your statement.
- Vehicle Washing Credit: Members earn a $5 credit plus receipt reimbursement (up to $12 total per washing) for washing a vehicle with receipt.
Penalty Fees
- Failing to refuel vehicles when it has less than ¼ tank at the end of a reservation period--$25
- Failing to Log your post-trip information on-line or by phone--$20 per incident
- Late Payment of Fees: If the checking account you have on file declines payment for any reason, you will be assessed a $35 administration fee.
- Cancellation Fee: There will be no charge for cancellation if the reservation is cancelled within 59 minutes of making the reservation, or if it is cancelled more than 8 hours before scheduled use. If cancellation occurs less than 8 hours before scheduled use, you will be charged at your rate plan for all hours reserved, less any hours used by another member. Your statement will indicate whether another member "recycled" a portion of your trip.
- Late Return Fee: If a vehicle is returned late you will be charged a fee (starting at $20) plus incurred costs. Late fee is waived if CCS is notified sufficiently in advance of late return (other fees may still apply, i.e., cab fare).
- Inconvenience Fee: Member will be charged $75 plus costs for inconveniencing other members (no fuel, no ignition key, car not parked in CCS spot, etc.).
- Damage Fee: Member is responsible for the first $500 of $1,000 deductible for any damage to the vehicles. If you do not report damage, you may be held responsible for the first $750 of the $1,000 deductible. Insurance policy information is available from the General Manager.
- Wrongful Fuel Fee: Members will be charged the cost of repairs if anything other than unleaded fuel is used in the hybrid vehicle.
- Smoking/Pets Fee: Fee for smoking in a vehicle or carrying pets without a pet carrier is $200.
- Cleaning Fee: If you leave the vehicle so dirty the next member can't use it, Our Emergency vehicle cleaning is $200 plus costs.
- Ignition Key Replacement Fee--VW Beetle: Vehicle ignition key replacement fee is $75/hour plus materials.
- Ignition Key Replacement Fee--Toyota Prius: Members will be charged $225 for the replacement of a lost Prius Ignition Key. This represents the actual replacement cost of this key for materials and key programming.
- Remote Unlocking Fee: Remote unlocking of CCS vehicle, if you are found at fault, is $15.
- Parking Tickets: Members are responsible for all parking tickets incurred during their trips. Investigation, resolution of parking, towing, tickets, etc. is $20/hour plus costs.
Maximums

Replacement Taxi or Rental Car Maximums: In the event that a Member is inconvenienced by another Member and the vehicle is not available within the first 15 minutes of their reservation period, the invoncenienced Member may cancel their reservation without charge and reschedule for another time, or they may rent a rental car or take a taxi, whichever is cheaper for that trip. A maximum of $75 per day is allowed.
